科大一方面学习风气非常浓厚，另一方面又非常宽松自由。
听起来有点矛盾，但事实就是如此。在科大，一个月见不到班主任一次是很正常的。
绝对不会有任何人来催促你、逼迫你去学习。
所以，你可以安排一天24小时全部用来睡觉，也可以给自己安排一种一天只睡五六小时的生活。
归根到底，取决于你的理想和给自己人生的定位。
如果你给自己的人生定位高，那么你永远有做不玩的事情。睡眠就是一种无奈。
反之，你会发现自己无事可做，最多考试前突击一段时间，睡懒觉睡到恶心也没人管。

大学生必须对自己的人生和选择负责。你有选择生活的权利，就有面对生活的责任。
你可能考进世界顶尖名校拿全额奖学金读博士，也可能还没读完四年就退学回家。
完全取决于你自己的选择。
如果你给自己定位高，把自己的学习和实验室工作安排得满满当当的，你可能成为前者。
反之，你可能成为后者。
一切都在于你自己。如果你自己不给自己安排，没有人会给你安排。不知不觉中就堕落了。

高中三年的生活让很多人无形中养成了依赖性。
因为高中就像是战场，目的已经十分明确，那就是考出高分。
但是在大学，可能的道路有很多种，科大和老师们绝对不会给你安排。你必须自己安排。
一个学生如果不能积极主动地自己给自己安排，那就可能不知不觉地掉队

Since my performance in my class was just above average, I would like to describe a typical day I had at ustc many years ago: Get up 7:00 AM Leave dormitory around 7:30 AM Eat breakfast  7:40--8:00 AM Attend classes from 8:00 AM to noon with10-15 min break time between two adjacent classes. Noon --- 2:00 PM  lunch then nap 2:00 ---5:30 PM  classes (breaks in between)   Sometimes afternoon classes end before 4:00 pm  then I play volleyball   or soccer until 6:00pm   Between 5:30 PM and 6:30PM, spend 30 min for supper then go to library or any building where I can find a space for self-study.  Very difficult to find a spot. Study until 10:00PM, on average.  Usually spend 30 mins on newspaper and magazines each night. 10:00 PM go back domitory or buy food at a small food store. 11:00-11:30PM  go to bed, reading, thinking, writing, and falling into sleep. PS,Sometimes we had experiments and classes in the evening. Then we were very busy.   And, some of my classmates studied very very hard.  They could stay still for a long time, totallyabsorbed in thoughts of Science (assumed).   I admired them a lot, and believe or not, I reached that level once a while. Every one is different.  The most important is to enjoy what you are doing, and to be able to focus.
